AMAZON.COM REPORTS RECORD SALES !!!!

Ecommerce merchants should be thrilled to know that Amazon.com reported “Record Breaking Sales” this holiday season. Company reported it’s “Best Ever” holiday season and posted ground breaking gross sales for 2008.

Company’s Christmas Sales peaked on December 15th 2008 with over 6.3 Million Items sold that day. The company also broke volume records that day selling 79.9 items every second, that day.

Similar numbers are expected for for other online retailers & ecommerce merchants this holiday season.

ARE SHOPPERS ON A RANT THIS HOLIDAY SEASON ?????

Retaiters reported a suprise on “Black Friday” with shoppers searching for bargins after Thanksgiving. Seems the number was Plus 3.00% over last year. Despite the economic turmoil reported in the news, consumers were out in full force. Shoppers spent an average of $372.57, compared to last year’s $347.55. One of the reported hottest products was the X-Box 360 and various Video Game Titles.

Lets hope the consumer will continue to suprise through the Holidays, into the New Year.

GIFT CARD PROGRAM - INCREASE SALES !!!!!!!

Well the holiday season is upon us and adding a gift card program to your merchant account can be a great opportunity to increase your bottom line profits. Gift cards offer merchants many benefits which can equal more customers and greater profits.
