Internet Merchant Account

Monday, September 8th, 2008

Ecommerce webmaster’s need an internet merchant account to process credit card transactions from their website. Internet merchant accounts coupled with an ecommerce gateway provide the perfect secure transaction platform for any website. Customers can make credit card purchases via a shopping cart checkout or simply a buy-it-now button.

An internet merchant account shows your customers that you are for real. Other alternatives such as PayPal may turn-off a customer, causing them to change their mind and keep looking on other websites.
Another advantage is that your funds are depostied directly into your business account. Third-Party solutions require you to wait for your funds and make a transfer request.

If you have any questions, please give me a call to discuss your ecommerce merchant account needs.

Internet Merchant Accounts

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

An internet merchant account is necessary to process payments over an ecommerce enabled website. Another option would be PayPal or Google Checkout. Each solution has it’s benefits and their drawbacks. In the case of internet merchant accounts, many customers prefer to simply using their credit card and are turned-off by see Pay-Pal as your standalone payment methood. These customers may decide not to make a purchase, based on their dis-like of PayPal. Loosing sales this way, is not very smart.

Aside from peoples dis-like of Pay-Pal, your company image is also at stake. The association between Pay-Pal and eBay is very strong, customers associate Pay-Pal with someone selling “Greenbeans From Their Basement”. This is not an image that you want to asscoiate with a legitamate business.

In closing, choosing a reliable internet merchant account will provide you the ability to accept online ecommerce payments without loosing customers and damaging your image by association.
